Serving: for 1 or 2 people Total preparation time: 10-15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 4 slices of bread of your choice
- 150g of cheese of your choice (cheddar, gouda, mozzarella, etc.)
- 1 tbsp. Appalachian truffle flavored oil
- Butter for grilling (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the Appalachian truffle flavored oil in a small bowl and take out a brush to brush and set aside.
- Grate or thinly slice the cheese of your choice.
- Place the bread slices on a work surface. Generously spread the grated or sliced cheese over two of the bread slices and close the grilled cheese with the other two bread slices.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a thin layer of butter. If you're using a nonstick skillet, you can opt for omitting the butter; the grilled cheese will be crispier.
- When the butter is melted or the pan is hot, carefully place the sandwiches in the pan.
- Cook each side of the sandwich for about 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is melted inside.
- Once cooked, remove the grilled cheese from the pan and place them on a cutting board.
- Brush one or both sides of the grilled cheese with Appalachian truffle oil.
- Serve immediately as a side dish with soup or salad for a complete and comforting meal.
Mamma Mia, how good is that!
